Oradio – Efemera Collective – Interview
In the interview “Every Space Tells Its Own Story”, published on Oradio platform, members of the Efemera Collective — Dr. Miljana Zeković and Dr. Višnja Žugić — discuss their collective and interdisciplinary approach to exploring space as an active participant in social and artistic processes. The interview was conducted on the occasion of the retrospective exhibition “Ephemeral Spaces of the Efemera Collective”, held at the Svilara Cultural Station in Novi Sad as part of the EPK 2021 Foundation program: Artists. NOW! The exhibition presents works created by Miljana Zeković and Višnja Žugić, together with Bojan Stojković, over a period of several years.
The interview addresses issues of ephemeral and site-specific practices, alternative models of action, and the importance of collective work, while understanding space as a carrier of stories, relationships, and meanings in constant transformation. Through reflections on collaborative work and long-term research processes, the interviewees emphasize the importance of cooperation, exchange, and openness toward different disciplines. Special emphasis is placed on the working process and on the ways in which artistic and architectural interventions can activate both space and audience.
